The story of SUUP is the story of our Founder and Chief Foodie, Ron.
Several years ago, Ron’s doctor advised him he needed to change his lifestyle and eating habits as he was becoming unhealthy. Never one to procrastinate, Ron unlocked his inner foodie and became immersed in the world of nutrition, cooking, and health. He switched to a plant-based vegan diet, rich in complex carbs, high fibre, high protein, and nutrient-dense foods.
As Ron began to feel better, he wanted to share the benefits of a plant-based diet. This journey began with SUUP Health Bar in downtown Toronto and is now realized through a kitchen facility in the Junction district. This is our incubator for innovation where we transform raw, responsibly-sourced ingredients into our nourishing, revitalizing, and rejuvenating foods.

Our founder — and Chief Foodie — Ron, loves nutrition and is so passionate about food. He is the inspiration behind everything we do. Having worked in the corporate world for his entire career, Ron has the knowledge and first-hand experience of putting together teams who collaborate to get results and share a common goal.
Our leadership team’s background and experience is diverse, and includes: the restaurant industry, legal, agriculture, ingredient importing, food manufacturing, food and beverage sales, and marketing.
What unifies our leadership team is our passion for plant-based proteins that are sustainable for people and the planet. This shared vision of democratizing healthy eating drives everything we do.
